Job Title:      Project Engineer – Houston, TX

Department: Systems Integration

Reports to:   SI Engineering Manager




This role will provide Engineering support on a wide range of turnkey telecoms projects. The primary tasks will include: Telecommunications Systems Design, Preparation of Engineering Documents, Testing and Telecoms Systems Commissioning. The role will assume Project Manager responsibility for major SI projects and deputize for the Engineering Manager in their absence.


In this role, you will collaborate with the Project Management Group to ensure the effective delivery of projects and services to SI customers, and with the Sales Group to ensure the effective delivery of technical consultation and estimates for bids and proposals.




  • Detailed design, testing, installation and commissioning of systems as required (PAGA, CCTV, ACS, Radio, LAN, WAN, WIFI, SCS, IDS, Weather Systems, Video Conferencing Systems, IP Telephony, Hotline, etc.)
  • Contribute to meet or exceed the SI calendar year financial targets and growth metrics for Orders, Revenue delivery and EBITA.
  • The Engineering Management of  SI projects.
  • Provide effective management of all the project stakeholders during the Project lifecycle.
  • Liaison with suppliers and third parties to ensure the smooth completion of projects.
  • Assist the Project Management group with the successful delivery of each Project within timescale and to budget ensuring that all agreed customer requirements are met.
  • Support the Quality program within SI operations which ensures compliance and maintainability of an ISO certification across the SI organization performing appropriate gatme checks to audit/monitor our discipline to this program.
  • Support the commitment of an HS&E program across all technical work groups that provides the appropriate training, awareness, and job planning for zero incidents and accidents, both in the office or customer work sites.
  • Includes travel for customer meetings, vendor system testing; installation and commissioning on site. 



Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Direct experience in engineering design of Telecom and associated critical communication systems
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant technical subject (Preferably in Electrical & Electronics, or Telecommunications)
  • Experience of an Operational Engineering environment preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • EIT, PE or RCDD certification desired.
